Webmail Enhancements
Introduction:
This article provides information on the new enhancements of HughesNet webmail.
HughesNet Webmail has all the same great selections as before but with some new enhancements. The page has a new look that will be covered in detail.

Enhancements
- Collapsing Dashboard Pane - The left frame of the screen is called the dashboard and you can choose to collapse it to see more of the detailed information.
- Click on the double arrow link (points to the left) at the top right of the dashboard

- The dashboard is now hidden and the e-mail details takes up the entire screen

- To unhide the dashboard, click on the double arrow link (points to the right)

- Graphical Folders - Previously, all folders had the same icon. Now, the folders in the dashboard have different looks that distinguish them from one another.
- Forward/Replied Column - This new column shows when a message has been forwarded or replied to. The green arrow to the left shows that a message has been replied to while the blue arrow to the right shows that the message has been forwarded.
- Attachment Column Moved - The File Attachment column has been moved further to the right.
- New ID Column - The ID column documents the order that a message has been added and this is the column that determines the order. If a message was saved in one folder and moved to another, the ID number reflects when it was placed in the folder and not the order that the message was received.
- New Read and Unread Column - The Read and Unread column distinguishes the message that have or have not been opened. Read emails have no icon but Unread mail displays a blue dot.
- "More Options" Feature Include Other Selections - This menu previously offered "Mark As Read" and "Mark As Unread". The new options are:
- Block Sender
- Safe Sender
- Mark As Flagged
- Mark As Unflagged
- Better Search Features - The new Search feature allows the user to search by specific fields:
- Senders
- Subject
- Headers (not being used at this time)
- Message
- New E-mail Features - There are several new e-mail features:
- Receipt request - Select the Receipt Request checkbox and a message will return notifying you of when the recipient opened the e-mail message. (Some e-mail systems do allow users to block this option so be aware of this if it doesn't seem to work sometimes.)

The returned message will be time stamped with the time the e-mail was read.
- Priority Setting - You can set the priority of the message.
- Auto-complete Address - Typing in a name in the To: field will display names saved in the address book.
- Auto-Save - Once a message is begun, an auto-save feature saves the message so if there is a disconnection, it gets automatically saved to drafts.
- Rich Text Toolbar Options - The Rich Text features has more options on the toolbar.
- Plain Text Spellcheck Option - The Plain Text feature now has Spellcheck.
- General Settings
- New Display Preferences - The options on the Interface Preferences and the Display Preferences have been combined onto the Display Preferences.
- Order Items - The ID column is the default for order. The Display Preferences includes an option to set the default sorting to be either Ascending or Descending.

Note: Be sure to click on the Save button after changing any preferences.
- Mail Settings
